Spherical Dipole Anntena

An optical-fiber cable connects the antenna's element to he measuring instrument. An O/E or E/O converter and battery are incorporated in the spherical antenna's housing. There are two variants of this antenna, a reception type and a radiating type.

The device is free of the electrical field disturbances that occur with metal antenna cables.

The antenna is usable over a wide frequency range (30 MHz—3 GHz).

The actual and theoretical field distributions are close to one another of the spherical antenna element.

The characteristics of the field distribution are non-directionality horizontal and
8-lobed-directionality in the vertical plane.

Evaluating the properties of test sites.

Evaluating the properties of cabinets, buildings, etc., and their effectiveness in shielding the equipment under test. (conforms to Part 3 of the IEC 61587-3 standard)
